Alerts API Guide

An Alert in the Rich Chat system is a notification or message sent to users through the Rich Chat mobile application. Alerts are versatile and can serve various purposes, such as providing updates, broadcasting announcements, or prompting actions. They can target individual users, teams, or public channels and are organised into categories like informational, emergency, promotional, or policy updates. Alerts may include a title, message, optional priority levels, and links for further action. They are designed to facilitate effective communication between organisations and their stakeholders.

Alert Categories

The category field in alerts can be set to any of the following predefined values:

  1. informational
  2. policy_update
  3. emergency
  4. promotional
  5. achievement
  6. request
  7. legal
  8. org_change
  9. technical
  10. training
  11. social
  12. apology
  13. strategic

Each category determines how the alert is displayed within the RichChat app and prioritised by users.
